20:30 GUIDED TOUR OF THE ISEUM
Guided tour with an expert guide who will lead you into the heart of Rome, discovering a place where ancient Egypt lives on among the stones of the Eternal City.
We will have the opportunity to see the remains of the eastern entrance arch of the sanctuary of Isis and Serapis, known as the Arch of Camigliano, discovered in 1969 inside the ground-floor shops of the building at the corner of Via S. Ignazio and Via Piè di Marmo (number 26), preserved from the cellars up to the first floor in squared travertine blocks.
The first ancient document regarding this monumental arch is the Arcus ad Isis carved in the relief that decorated the mausoleum of the Haterii family, on Via Labicana (today Via Casilina) in Rome. Quintus Haterius Tychicus was a contractor who, under Domitian, participated in the construction of some of Rome's most important works, including the Colosseum. They were among the primary builders of imperial Rome under the Flavian dynasty. We will seek to understand the structure of the temple, the function of its spaces, and the profound spiritual significance of the cult of Isis in imperial Rome.
21:00 APERITIF AT THE ISEUMYour visit to the Iseum concludes with a delightful aperitif, the perfect finale to an unforgettable evening immersed in history and culture.
