Day 1, Rome - Ercolano

In the morning, participants will meet and depart by coach from Rome Termini Station. Arrival in Herculaneum after approximately 3.5 hours, with free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, private tour of the Herculaneum excavations with a dedicated archaeological guide. Nestled on a volcanic plateau overlooking the sea, ancient Herculaneum — the Roman Herculaneum — lies today about 30 metres below the modern town, extraordinarily preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Accompanied by a private guide, you will walk along the ancient paved streets of the city, admiring elegant patrician domus with frescoes and mosaics still intact, such as the House of the Wooden Partition and the House of the Deer, overlooking the sea. The tour continues through shops, public baths, the decumanus maximus and the extraordinary organic finds — beams, furniture and everyday objects — miraculously preserved by the eruption. A particularly evocative moment is represented by the ancient arches on the coast, where the remains of the fleeing inhabitants were found. An exclusive and immersive experience, offering a privileged glimpse into the refined and authentic life of a Roman city suspended in time. The tour will take place regardless of weather conditions.

HOTEL CHECK-IN Room/Bed Type Standard double room Welcome to the Hotel Forum in Pompeii, adjacent to the excavations.

Dinner will be served at the hotel, in the form of a 3-course menu. Drinks not included.

Day 2, Pompei - Oplontis

Day 2, Pompei - Oplontis

A buffet breakfast will be served. After breakfast, check out of the hotel.

Depart on foot for a private tour of the city of Pompeii with a dedicated archaeological guide.

Pompeii, nestled on the slopes of Vesuvius near the hill of Civita, is one of the most extraordinary and best-preserved archaeological sites of the ancient world. Buried by ash and lapilli during the dramatic eruption of 79 AD — which also affected Herculaneum, Stabiae and Oplonti — the city has remained frozen in time, offering a unique testimony to Roman life.

Accompanied by a private guide, you will walk along the ancient paved streets, furrowed by the tracks of carts, entering elegant patrician domus with perfectly preserved frescoes and mosaics, such as the House of the Faun or the House of the Vettii. The tour continues through the Forum, the political and religious heart of the city, the baths, the theatre and the artisan workshops, where it is still possible to glimpse the daily lives of the inhabitants of two thousand years ago.

The excavations, begun in 1748 at the behest of Charles III of Bourbon, have revealed one of the most complete and fascinating testimonies of Roman civilisation. An exclusive and immersive experience that allows you to experience Pompeii with a privileged view, amidst history, art and timeless charm.

The tour will take place regardless of weather conditions.

At the end of the tour of Pompeii, you will have time for lunch.

Lunch is not included in the tour price.

Transfer by coach to Torre Annunziata and private visit to the Villa of Oplontis with a dedicated archaeological guide.

Located in ancient Oplontis, today's Torre Annunziata, this extraordinary Roman residential villa is one of the finest examples of aristocratic architecture of the 1st century BC, enlarged and enriched during the early imperial period. Partially excavated, the villa is in an exceptional state of preservation.

Accompanied by a private guide, you will explore rooms of great elegance, once overlooking the sea in a panoramic position, including large porticoes, gardens, swimming pools and reception rooms embellished with spectacular cycles of frescoes, considered among the most refined examples of Roman art. The decorative elements, which have survived in extraordinary condition, bear witness to the taste and luxury of aristocratic life at the time.

According to the most widely accepted hypothesis, the villa may have belonged to Poppea Sabina, the second wife of Emperor Nero, or in any case to the estate of her illustrious family. An exclusive and evocative visit, allowing you to discover a place of rare beauty, far from the crowded tourist trails, immersed in the tranquillity and timeless charm of ancient Rome.

The visit will take place regardless of weather conditions.

At the end of the visit to Oplontis, the bus will take you back to the meeting point. Duration of the trip approx. 3h30m
