Travel itinerary

Day 1, Bolsena

Day 1, Bolsena

Participants arrive at Orte station in the morning and meet the driver for a transfer to Bolsena.

Check-in at Il VesConte, the historic residence of the Cozza Caposavi family, who have been linked to the Bolsena area and the preservation of their historic home for generations. The palace is a testament to family continuity and local history, still meticulously preserved today. We will be welcomed by the owner, Francesco Cozza Caposavi.

In the afternoon, meet our guide for a walk through the historic center of Bolsena, a medieval village overlooking the volcanic lake of the same name. The tour allows you to read the historical stratification of the place, from its Etruscan origins to its medieval development, through alleys, squares, and architecture of great interest.

Following this, an exclusive visit to the Palazzo del Principe del Drago, accompanied by the owner. This noble residence has belonged to a family always attentive to the conservation of their cultural heritage. The richly decorated interiors reflect the refined taste of the patrons and the continuity of an aristocratic tradition deeply rooted in the territory. The palace is also distinguished by its private garden, designed as a space for representation and contemplation, the result of the owners' sensitivity to garden art and the care of green compositions.

Aperitif on the terrace overlooking the lake. Return for overnight stay.

Day 2, Bolsena - Rocca Ripesena

Day 2, Bolsena - Rocca Ripesena

Breakfast and departure with a guide and driver towards Porano.

Exclusive visit to the Tenuta de La Torricella, accompanied by Dr. Antonio Pacifico, a key figure in the enhancement of the property. The estate, owned by Countess Mila Brachetti Peretti, represents a refined expression of garden culture, the result of a deep passion for landscape design and botanical collections. The project, designed by architect Pejrone, integrates roses, ornamental plants, and rare species in a composition of great balance and sophistication.

Light lunch in the exclusive setting of the estate.

In the afternoon, transfer to Rocca Ripesena, known as "The Village of Roses," an enchanting hamlet located in the Municipality of Orvieto, immersed in the greenery of a Cultural Park. At the slopes of the majestic tufa cliff, an extraordinary rose garden flourishes, hosting hundreds of rose varieties from every corner of the world. Rocca Ripesena is a fairy-tale village where beauty and poetry blend with history and tradition. In 2011, volunteers led by scientific director Walter Branchi planted over 200 varieties of roses to educate on beauty and preserve this authentic Italian jewel.

Return to Bolsena. Dinner at a selected restaurant with a view of Lake Bolsena, dedicated to the authentic flavors of the lake tradition. Overnight stay.

Day 3, Bolsena - Civita di Bagnoregio

Day 3, Bolsena - Civita di Bagnoregio

Breakfast. Meet the guide and driver for transfer to the pier.

Sailing on Lake Bolsena towards Martana Island, a place of great charm and privacy. During the crossing, we retrace the lake's historical origins and its link with local events. The island, now private, is linked to the figure of Queen Amalasuntha and holds important historical value related to 6th-century events.

Return and transfer for a visit to the Mazziotti Agricultural Estate, a historic family winery founded in 1900. Light lunch at the estate with a tasting of "0 km" products and their wines.

In the afternoon, transfer to Civita di Bagnoregio, the famous suspended village known as "The Dying City." Perched on a fragile spur of tufa shaped by erosion, it offers a surreal scenery with an extraordinarily preserved medieval layout. Access is exclusively via a long pedestrian bridge.

At sunset, a pleasant stop at The Poet’s Garden. Overlooking the "Valle dei Calanchi" (Valley of the Badlands), it is an environment of great peace and charm. Sunset drink with a suspended view over the valley.

Return to Bolsena. Gala Dinner at Il VesConte, in the evocative Blue Gallery, with a gourmet menu inspired by the territory. Overnight stay.
